USE OF LOCATION DATA
When you are using the Northwest Hiker's smartphone application or this website,
you may determine your current location and use that information to help you find directions
to hike trailhead through the trailhead coordinates linkage. We do not see or learn of your location
information when getting direction through the trailhead coordinates linkage, nor do we use it for
any purpose other than to determine your distance from the hike trailheads in our provided coordinates.
If you are not comfortable with this, you may disable the use of location services in the device you
are using at any time. Please note that our smartphone application and trailhead coordinates linkage
can also be used to obtain turn-by-turn directions to reach the hikes in our database. Using this
functionality will not send your location information to the Northwest Hiker website, but it may
result in your location data being sent to a third-party provider of your device's default mapping application.
